This Privacy Policy is intended to give you an understanding of how and why IMF Academy, part of International Management Forum B.V., uses your personal data. If you have any questions about our Privacy Policy or any other question regarding the processing of your personal data, please contact us. Personal Data
What kind of personal data does IMF Academy process?
IMF Academy processes your personal data when you use our services, for example when you enroll for a training, request a brochure, contact us by phone or e-mail or when you visit our website. The following details will only if required be processed:

  • Name and initials
  • Salutation
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address
  • Address

Why does IMF Academy process personal data?

  • The registration and administrative processing of your enrollment
  • The provision of the training you have chosen
  • Delivery of the course materials
  • Communication purposes, such as providing course information and informing you about follow-up training courses or developments with regard to the topics you selected
  • Management and quality purposes
  • Identification and fraud prevention
  • Sending the IMF Academy newsletter (only with your permission)

Do we share your personal data with third parties?
Only when it is necessary, your personal information is shared with accreditation organizations, exam organizations, trainers and/or partners. This is done only after having received your permission or when it is necessary for conducting the training for you. We conclude a processing agreement with all of these parties to ensure that your personal data is properly protected and treated confidentially.

Data retention
When you register for a course
When you register for a course, your personal data will, due to the Dutch tax low, be stored for 7 years after the starting date of the course. When you also subscribed to our newsletter, your name and e-mail address will be stored until you unsubscribe.

When you requested more information about a course
When you ask for more information about a course or any other matter, your contact information (name, phone number and/or e-mail address) will be stored for up to 12 months after we supplied you the requested information. When you subscribed for our newsletter, your name and e-mail address will be stored until you unsubscribe.

Your name and e-mail address will be stored until you unsubscribe.

Security of your personal data
We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unlawful processing. Only by IMF Academy authorized personnel (employees and other) will have access to the server and your personal data. We store your data encrypted on a server, located outside the EEA.

Cookies
We use cookies on our website in order to collect and store information about the website visits or about (the device of) the user. We do not store personal data with cookies.

What types of cookies do we use?
We use functional cookies and analytical cookies. The functional cookies are essential for a correctly working website. The analytical cookies are used to analyze how many users the website has and how the website is being used, by using Google Analytics. This is not recorded on a personal level (IP address), but the data is stored by Google on servers in the United States (see the Google Privacy Policy).

Inspection, rectification or removal of your personal data
You have the right to inspect, rectify and/or remove your personal data, if this does not conflict with the fulfilment of the agreement or the formal Dutch law and regulations. Please contact us through [email protected] and we will respond to your request within 4 weeks.

In case of questions, objections or complaints regarding the collection or storage of your personal data and other privacy-sensitive information, please contact us through [email protected]. If we cannot resolve it together, you can submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
